Safeguarding Statement

Chris Kendrick Photography Tutoring and Workshops is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All tutoring, mentoring and workshop sessions are delivered with the safety, wellbeing and dignity of students as the highest priority. I work in line with current safeguarding expectations in England, including Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and wider child protection guidance.

For all private face-to-face tutoring sessions involving a child or young person, a parent or carer must be present on the premises for the full duration of the session, for session that take place in the studio, a parent must be present in the room. This is a non-negotiable safeguarding requirement.

Where workshops or sessions take place in schools, colleges or other organisations, I follow the safeguarding procedures of that setting and report any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead or appropriate safeguarding contact.

I maintain clear professional boundaries, use appropriate communication channels, and take particular care with student images, portfolio work and online interactions. Images of children or student work will not be used for marketing, social media or public display without appropriate consent.

Any safeguarding concern will be taken seriously, recorded appropriately and reported to the relevant safeguarding agency, school, parent/carer or professional body where necessary.
